2 inter-state narcotic smugglers held with 205 kg poppy husk

With this consignment, the SSP Udhampur claimed that this week, JKP recovered 12.9 kilograms Charas and 315 kilograms poppy husk in Udhampur district.

Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed it has arrested 2 inter-State narcotic smugglers and seized from their possession 205 kilograms of poppy husk.

SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey said that based on reliable information, a party of police station Udhampur, led by SHO concerned, Sanjeev Singh Chib raised a naka at Jakheni and intercepted a Gujarat number truck for checking. During search of the vehicle, he said, the police party recovered 205 kilograms of poppy husk from two accused, who have been booked in case FIR number 17/2019 under sections 8/15 Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act registered at Udhampur police station.
